Who have purchased Lane German Shepherd Puppies & Dogs all over the US!
Hi Travis,He’s doing excellent. He is exceptionally smart and very willing to please. He likes to have his nose into everything. But he’s just 7 months old. My girls love him and he is very good with them. He is absolutely beautiful as well. We get comments on him all the time. He likes to ride to town with my wife to pick our girls up from school. Sits right up in the front seat waiting on them. He’s got it made. Trust me.He’s not quite so little anymore as you can see. We have had a lot of snow this winter and its about 10 degrees today. He spends a lot on time in the house right now.Chad, Kirksville, MO
Hi Guys,You were right, not a peep all the way to Fleet Farm in Hudson and than home to Prescott. Bud got out with him at Fleet Farm and he went potty while I ran in and got him his food and some more toys. He just ate and now he’s settling down. When we got him out of the car he was a running and jumping , lost his footing and ended up with a face full of snow. Just wanted to say thank you for this little sweetie pie. It helps make the loss of our Mac just a little easier.
Thank you again, Happy EasterBud and Terri, from prescott,WI

Hello from Prescott, Wisconsin Haus says “hi” too!! I couldn’t sleep so i checked out your website. God your dogs are beautiful! Haus is doin great. He is huge. Seriously!!! He is so tall. We figure he weighs about 95-100 lbs. We think he looks exactly like his dad.. i wish i new how to send pictures, i’d send ya one. remember, my daughter always has to show bud and me how to do it. we’ll get one to you. Promise!!. Seriously, Haus is absolutely beautiful. he by far is the best looking shepherd we ever have had and we’ve had our share. i call him my gentle giant. he has such a good personality but i tell ya when he means business he means business. Bud has him so well trained him, i can’t even tell you how smart he is. he’ll be playing in the yard and all of a sudden he stops, looks at you and takes off for the edge of the woods. Bud had trained him to do his duty in the woods. When he was small, Buddy used to carry him down everytime he had to go. He has never gone in our yard. His colors are unbelievable. His red is brilliant. We took him out to a park a couple of weeks ago and you had to see the heads turn when he got out of the back of our truck. Well, better sign off. Hope you are all doin great. Have a great Thanksgiving. Can you believe it’s almost that time of year again?
Take Care,Bud, Terri and Haus;)
Dear Mr. LaneI purchased one of the females (the one with the ears already up) from the Zerxis/Bessy litter back in August. I all I can say is she is phenomenal! Macy is a quick learner, has great prey drive, and is better then we expected with our children. She is well on her way to her BH. I am not saying she is by no means ready, but she “gets it”. If all GSD’s were like her they would not get the bad rap they sometimes get today. As for prey drive…she can spend hours chasing a ball and when she bites the leather cloth she has the full, calm grip that, in my opinion is lacking in some GSD’s today. Macy love our children. We take her to the bus stop every morning with us and she will sit and watch our kids until they get on the bus. She is a puppy, so some times the kids do get her a little too wound up and she has been know to nip at our youngest foot as she jumps on the couch. Other then that she has the temperament we were looking for in our GSD. So I guess what I am saying is we are overly satisfied with our puppy and if you need anyone to as a reference or to vouch for the quality of your dogs…send them my way. Thanks again.Rob and Inna

Dear Travis Lane:I want to reiterate how happy our family is with “Fritz”. He is extraordinary in his intelligence. We have bonded with him in a way we’ve never bonded with other dogs. He turns the water on and off in the bathtub to help himself to a drink. He sits by the door when he needs to go out. We began to train him in search by hiding tennis balls etc.. He is very mellow but would love to work if only I had the time. Most of all he is intuitive and trustworthy. We socialized him well. I take him everywhere I go with the exception of the summer season. He sits with me during studio art classes. He has no “hangups” as many dogs we know do. He can be pet on the head..touch his paws..he sits calmly while I clean his teeth. He is instinctually hard wired to guard children. We have two babies that visit us occasionally. He literally will not leave their side. He follows my friends baby around and holds the back of her diaper gently in his mouth while she crawls. Ournephew came over and was crying. He was face down on the bed. Fritz was trying to roll him over. I am impressed but not surprised at his intelligence. His intelligence is also evident through his affection. He puts his head on my lap or on the bed in the morning. He “kisses” me on the face; and makes good eye contact. He is able to have a connection with us through understanding and communication that many dogs do not have a capacity for. It is a mark of his breeding and intelligence. In addition, thank you for your support when we had questions. We were not experienced in raising and training a dog. Your breeding coupled with our love and interest has resulted in a happy dog with a happy family.Thank you!!Amy from Guilford,CT
Happy Holidays Travis!I hope this email finds you and your family (both human & canine) well.Just thought I would send an update email on our little boy Leroy or Colonel Leroy (his AKC name J). He is doing amazing! He weighed in at the vet yesterday at 38.2 lbs. He gained almost 12 lbs in the past month. The vet said he is the picture of health and commented that he was the best tempered German Shepherd puppy that he had ever worked with. He’s been scheduled for his neutering on the 29th of December, which is great timing as it’s “down time” at work for me during the holidays so I will have plenty of time to take care of and spoil him during his recovery. He’s been a very busy boy…he’s in puppy socialization class, knows how to sit/shake/lay down and is enjoying having a big brother yellow lab as a full-time play buddy and a pug older sister to annoy constantly.I’ve attached photos of Leroy and I promise to send more as he gets bigger. Have a happy holiday season & thank you for our little man! We adore him! Thanks!Janie, Steven & Colonel Leroy from Edina,MN
We are very happy with the puppy we purchased from Lane German Shepards. We were able to potty train him within a few days, he’s very intelligent. He also sits and lays down on command. He is only 12 weeks old and is now used to the leash when walking. We do kennel him when we’re not home because he is a puppy, we only put him in there when we are not here. He sleeps with us and lets us know if he needs to go out in the middle of the night. Having a puppy is like having a baby but having the right temperament makes all the difference. If you have any questions about the quality of the puppies, please contact me.Kathy from St.paul,MN
I have worked with professional breeders for over twenty years, and no one tops Travis Lane. The GSD pup I got from him is now 10 months old. She is everything I hoped for: a friendly family companion and loyal protector.

Hey there, Travis!Laurie, Nico, and I were out frolicking in the snow this morning, and we were able to get a few fun photos of our little boy! He’s been an absolute joy, and we’ve had a lot of fun watching him grow and find his place in our family. We’re getting a lot of jealous looks in obedience class, where he’s sharp, confident, and eager to please! One of the trainers even commented on how great his disposition was! A lot of the other dogs around him were barking, pulling, and jumping around trying to get at the other dogs, but Nico remained calm and didn’t lose his focus. He loves playing and wrestling with Nala in our backyard, and he enjoys exploring the trails around Blackhawk Lake as well. At home he’s a lover, and he’s quite content sleeping at my feet while I read. However, when the cats walk by, he jumps to his feet, and it’s all business from there! On a different note, Laurie and I were wondering when you would recommend switching him over to adult food. He’s just over 5 months old now, and our vet mentioned that most dogs make the switch around 6 months. We’d also like to know what you feed Iso. The puppy food your recommended was great, and since Iso looks extremely healthy and handsome, we’d like to give Nico the same. We hope you enjoy getting these updates from us, as we are very thankful for all the time you spent connecting us with the perfect dog for our family! Thanks again for everything, and we hope to hear from you again soon!Dan and Laurie from Eagan, MN
Good afternoon Travis,
No more problems. As you said, 1/2 hour after eating is the trick. It’s hard to describe how well Dallan and I have bonded in such a short time. He is truly an amazing dog. We have been inseparable since picking him up from the airport. Everywhere we go people comment how beautiful he is. I went to my Vet’s house, Dr. Kim Chaney, Monday to give her an estimate for some remodeling and she asked if I had Dallan with me, he was in my truck. I said yes, she asked me to bring him in. He played wonderfully with her 3 year old and 19 month old. She just loves him. I gave her one of your cards as I would to anyone interested in where he came from. Dallan is truly a special dog and has forever filled the void from the dog I lost last December. Dallan is happy and festive every minute of the day. I don’t know how to thank you. This is one of those situations that was just meant to be.
Thanks again!
Andy,from Annapolis,MD
Dallan brings a new meaning to the term “can you dig it?” At 14 months, Dallan and I have an inseparable bond. He is by my side all day long and goes to the office as well as job sites with me everyday. He has made friends with everyone in the office and my customers love him. Seldom does a day go by when someone doesn’t comment on how beautiful he is. Travis, I cannot thank you enough for breeding such a wonderful dog.Andy
Travis,Ortie is doing awesome. What a ham!! And getting to be a spoiled rotten kid too! You see, in my house dogs are allowed on furniture. And on cold nights they are “encouraged” to hop in the bed. Ortie thinks that is great! In the morning when I leave for work my Newfy, Rags, is on one end of the couch and Ort gets the other end. And they are getting along fantastic. When she gets ramped up and barks at the neighbor’s dogs thru the fence he comes along and “protects” her by getting between her and the other dogs. They eat out of the same bowls even. And she loves Milk Bones. Will sit right next to Rags to get her’s. Still a picky eater and it got even worse for a few days after her surgery, but we’re picking back up. She goes in for suture removal Friday a.m. so I’ll see if she’s rebounded any from 62#. At the lake she is off lead when they go out to potty if we take them out side of the fenced area next to our house. And she’s very respectful of calls to come back. Only issue was 1 morning early when the neighbor’s cat chose that time to walk on by. That was fun!!! Thought Rags was going to die right there and then of heart failure because of course he had to be Macho Man and run with her……..for a very short distance! The cat was in no danger, Ortie came back after running down 3-4 driveways, and Rags was wheezing for 1/2 hour:):):) It bugs Bob that Ortie is very much “my” dog. She alerts when he comes in at the lake if he’s been gone for a little while. Fine with me!! She has quit growling at him when he gets up to pee in the middle of the night, so that’s a good thing:):) I thought it was kind of cute, but we corrected her and she has quit. Thanks again Travis!! She’s happy, Rags and I are delighted with her. I even think his breathing has improved since she came! Guess he was stressed out being the only dog in the house. He never has been all of his life. Now he has this sweet little lady to share with during the day when I’m gone. It’s better than I even hoped for!!!!!
Thank Susan of Linn Valley,KS
Travis,I would like to thank you for hooking me up with such a wonderful dog. When we first brought her home she was very shy for the first day. By the next day she wouldn’t leave my side. She follows me around the house when I clean and even follows behind the lawn mower when I mow the lawn. When I am outside I am never out of her sight. I had bought the dog for my husbands birthday but she decided she belongs to me. At first she had shown some dog aggression to our other little dogs but it faded very quickly once we got after her. She is very smart and it didn’t take her but a few times to learn to leave the other dogs alone. Now she runs all over the farm with them and has absolutely no aggression to the dogs or any other animal. She is well worth the patience and work, and money ( it really didn’t take much work just patience). She loves my two girls and tried to walk on the school bus the first day of school! She also started to run after them but after calling her back she was fine. She did well in dog obedience and my oldest daughter showed her at the county fair in 4-H. She took a third which I thought was really great since my daughter had never trained a dog before and Damera was up against older dogs who had shown before. At the time she was not yet a year old. She is still timid with strangers which is fine with us for we do not want an aggressive dog around with all the kids coming and going. She has a loud bark and fools a lot of people who don’t know her. She is also doing very well being crate trained. She doesn’t have accidents in the house anymore. Again, thanks very much for the wonderful dog!Kathryn
Hi Travis,The decision to begin looking for another puppy after we lost our 9 year old German Shepherd “Max” was a difficult one. Once we reached out to Lane German Shepherds and had our first conversations with Travis, we knew we had headed in the right direction. Travis is so knowledgeable on the breed and is a true life case of what a positive customer experience can be. From the first phone call to the moment we met Fulton, we received prompt answers to each and every question with kindness and understanding. We are hankful that you do what you do Travis.Fulton is such a welcome addition to our home. He is absolutely beautiful and has so many kisses and hugs. As he is still in his “puppy stage”, he certainly keeps us on our toes and that is a good thing! We have had so many laughs over the things he has come up with. Dad’s slipper seems to be the prize target these days! He is great with other puppies and children, and was the hit of our family get together this summer. What a super sweetie he is and such a good boy when he walks too!We look forward to sharing more pictures with you as Fulton continues to grow.Thank you sincerely for a great addition to our family!
